Course Description

Show your future college or university exactly who you are by crafting stories that highlight your strengths and unique gifts. This course will focus on sharpening your voice, determining the right angle for your responses, and editing your ideas concisely to meet the demands of a strict word limit. Students will draft several different pieces to prepare for both the Common App and UC prompts, in addition to other common prompts for scholarship essays or schools with their own application process. Each response will receive feedback from a veteran English teacher and will likely transform through several rounds of revision by the end of the course.
